Does anyone know how to figure out the clearance I'll need for the seat height on my FJ 12 ?
Bein' as it was all bent an' twisted when I got it ,I don't have any clues !!
And as for finding things on the internet .....................

depends on the dampers you use. Most have about 4 - 6 inch travel, so thats what you need for the wheel to clear.The old fashioned way way to take a spring off the damper then refit it to see how far the bike sinks.
Any help..?

Like Alik said, take the spring off, refit the shock and let it settle. Leave about an 1" clearance, unless your Jesse James, in which case a 1/4" is sufficent apparently........
