He might not even bother turning up.After ramming a police car I should think the Plod has a keen interest in his whereabouts. But "Failure to Appear" would help towards a stretch. I half-hope he does try to avoid it: anyone that dumb is bound to come up on the radar again sooner or later, the stupid so-and-so, and the Legal machinery would be there waiting... it's hates anyone who doesn't take it seriously.

He's probably out on Police Bail. Police Bail isn't imposed by the Court so it's technically not contempt: Would still get up to 3 months and-or a fine though, or the Beak could commit the silly sod to the Crown Court for a comprehensive hammering. He can get a year for that in the Crown Court. Consecutive too... added on to the end of the other charges, it's considered a seperate Offence.

I'm pretty sure it would be ok if he was found guilty to name and shame him (and we'll get a photo too) but not if he's of a certain age, unless the judge lifts reporting restrictions - after all, the media can name him, so why not 100% mag?

if the courts name him then i think any-one can if proven guilty..i think you have to have courts permission.. bloke in newark killed a 14yr old lad last yr .doin 56mph in 30 zone..local paper wasnt allowed to name him .but they got permission from court and named him last week....fukkin drug runnin gypo...

If you happened to have a picture of this scroat, and he is found guilty, I reckon you could publish without fear - after all, you are only naming him. I think all court proceedings are public unless the court imposes restrictions on reporting - rare in cases involving adults.

technicaly, yes he is innocent at present. In reality he was seen ridin' it an' it was him that crashed an' wrecked it hitting a police car along the way. So it's not like skatin' on thin ice really as he was seen an' caught in the act.
