Hi folks,

Just thought I'd stop in and say hey....
Have been hangin' out on some of the other forums for awhile, but my favorite seems to be down most of the time now.... So, I figured I'd see what was shakin' on the other side of the pond.

Many HD riders here? Cruisers or Sport bikes mainly?
Are you guys/ gals from all over the UK or all of Europe?
Many female riders there? There is a growing number of Ladies in the Wind here... Gotta' love it!
My OL rides, as do some of her girlfriends. Makes for some interesting runs to rallies and poker runs. Nuff said.

Just got back from Sturgis a couple of weeks ago. -Greatest show on earth!!!!!!!!!!!!
Met some friends from Colorado there and did some really great ridin' and partyin'. If you're ever there, ya' just gotta check out the Glenco campground. Anything goes....
I'd sure like to belly up to the "bar" and hang here for awhile...
Cheerz,
DyNasty

Well Howdy there Dynasty!

You've found a bunch of nutters who happen to like riding a bit. All sorts of bikes on here, mostly in bits! We come from all over the Uk, and we even have women riders as well! But we try and not mention that!

*grabs tin hat and runs for the hills! Again, before Triker Gal grabs me scrawny neck!*

Modesty should prevail, but I can only say that for a comprehensive look at UK biking, try http://www.captsmurf.co.uk and http://www.wozwolf.co.uk

Hello there matey, you strikes me as a foreign fellow - US of A or have I got it totally wrong as usual?
Us "lady" bikers on this forum do like a man in chaps but chaps are dangerous things you know, no sooner do you get a pair home than you are wondering what they look like combined with a thong or even with nothing else on and before you know it you are in front of the bedroom mirror........I'll get me coat :D

This statement alone tells me that you are not from round these parts :D
Down here in deepest darkest Sussex we are all real men (even the women). We buy crap bikes such as the Kawasaki GT 750 and have at them with angle grinders and the like, once we have finished "customising" them we take them to a proper bike shop to reverse the damage, spend a fortune at said bike shop only to break down on the way home and then walk 5 miles cross hill, dale and cliff top home as there is no sensible bus service in these parts and we have left our mobile phones at home.
This is our test of manhood. Once we have passed this test we are proper bikers and eligible to grow beards and press our noses against the local HD shop window and look at bikes we can't afford.
After that we all go morris dancing :D

How do you tell if you are wearing them chaps the right way round.

Rushed out to go to the pub a couple of nights ago and after a couple of glasses of the wet stuff i had to use the bog only to find that i put me boxers on back to front, "Big problem" :o :o :o

I'm in Cold Lake, Alberta (Canada)
7 months of winter and 5 months of bad snowmobiling...

As for the chaps, I can't (or won't) ;) say that I've ever worn a thong under them... -Although it really turns my crank to see a chick dressed like that!

Hmmmm.... a chick with a beard.....

I took the plunge in 2003 and bought a 92' Harley Dyna Superglide. No regrets.
Are the Harleys that much more expensive in the UK?

I feel like I have zero comprehension of the engilish language.....
Granted, we have our slang over here, and especially our brothers to the south, but I'm totally in the dark about some of these ones!
-It is interesting though...I'll give you that!

S'funny that! I thought the same thing and I'm in the same country as TG! Whether it's the same planet or not, is a matter of conjecture!

As to the the use of language:-

Bog - the John I think you lot over the pond call it. :)

Morris Dancing - err, yes! What Fayji does when he's had a few! Search the web for a more detailed account! (of Morris Dancing not Fayji. The internet isn't ready for Fayji yet! :p )

Harley - Davidsons are f***ing expensive over here for tractors! Let's see, a brabd new Fat boy, on average, costs, oooh, (takes of shoes and socks to aid counting, *notes the pet dog has now fallen over*) about £15-£17 grand. Thats, err, about $27450 - $31110?

Glad to see the bikers over there are as universally ugly as they are here! Except for that one in red! Phwoar!

The one in red is from a UK website... I had to go and look  Now I'm gonna go blind... Unless I can scrub the image from my eyeballs with a coarse stainless steel brush!.... Oh, yeah! that feels better!
A new FatBoy is about the same price in Canada. Trev Deeley Imports has the monopoly on HD in Canada, so they put their markup on top of what the Motor Company puts on... Bastiges!!!! Robbers!!! Forging Iceholes!!!!
- On the positive side, my '92 Dyna Custom is worth more than it was new...

you lot .... It sounds so .... I dunno.... standoffish...After all, G.B. and the Queenie has had so much to do with our history.

Can't be Britain without Morris dancing, it is one of the links to our pagan past. Sussex was the very last bastion of paganism in this country so we are all a bit odd and our men are prone to jumping about with flowery hats on :)
Hope I didn't cause offence by called you American - Canadians are much nicer, most of our friends seem to have gone over there to live *thinks:do I smell or sommat?*
Must be fun having all that snow - don't get much of the white stuff here!

Interesting traditions over there...
Re; Calling me an American...No worries. We are constantly bombarded with American "culture" over here... Although I do love the geography in the U.S. -It makes for some really great rides. And the roads are very well kept.
Snow- Is a four letter swear word! Yeah, the kids love it, but I'm the one how has to shovel it. Not to mention that it cuts into the riding season for ...Oh...7 months
