Hi there

Does anyone know if a gt 750 engine will fit straight into gt 550 frame?

Cheers.

Doubt it!750 is physically bigger.

Of course it could be made to fit, anything can be made to fit-question is "is it worth the hastle"?

SAomething that would be worth measuring up is bandit 600 motor! :)

No it wont, the engine mounts are different as the 550 frame is smaller

It will, however, go straight into a Z650 frame and can be converted to chain drive.

One thing that puzzles me is how a Z1100ST motor fits straight into the GT frame without too much hassle...?

Yep, cos the engine mounts are the same for all the big bikes. The 550 is an odd ball that was used to test stuff for the GPZ range.
