engine tart up places...?

mate has asked for any reccomendations of places to take a lump to, to get all the blackness re-blacked and shiney bits re-shined up?

XJR1200...engine out.

he mumbled somthing about a place called acorn somthing...

pref bucks / herts / berks area...wants a nice long lasting job, and we have found that a bit of vht paint never sticks to the nasty crevices etc as they never get cleaned properly..

Well this might not be the answer you want, but before you go splashing out loads of money, go to Halfords and buy some engineVT its the best treatment Ive evr used for getting the black stuff back and shiny.

Do you want he engine stripped, powder coated n polished or do you want a cheap shine up doing?

the place he heard of basically stoppered up all the holes and blasted it, then painted it...

im sure i have seen ads in the bike mags for it - but cant find one now... (iirc its always a pic of a GS or CB engine...)
