don't think too badly of calling the Dr out to YOU.
NHS direct recommended lying on your side with your knees drawn up slightly

try ice on the back-sometimes better that heat(depends on the injury) and take Ibroprofen
I got to the Drs, and he was the same as me !!!! he had a bad back too. He recommended Robin McKenzie's Book "treat your own back" and sent me away with Co-codemol so I can sleep at night

Back from doc's with DRUGS !!!!!!!!!

Codipar and Cupronfen max strength on both, so gonna have something to eat and then take me tablets, hopefully will be feeling no pain soon :cool:

after 31 years of manual labour i can sympathise with anyone who suffers with back problems. all my doctor said when i saw him for back pain was ''work it off'' :eek:
