this winter I want to take a angle gringer and welder to my powder coated trike frame (adding a few brackets and tubes etc.) this will leave the powder coating in a bit of a state in places. Does anyone know of any products I can use to repair 'touch up' these areas rather than having the whole thing bead blasted and coated again. I'm not after a show finish, just a presentable weather proof one.
cheers

smoothrite paint from the family of hammerite but leaves a smooth finish. good and durable and relatively cheap. doesnt leave any brushstrokes.

The only realistic way for a good finish is to have it blasted to remove the existing powdercoating.

Then carry out whatever mods you want.

You can then either paint it with Smoothrite or have it powdercoated again.

Whole job should be achievable for around £100.

If you don't, you will kick yerself for evermore.
