Forget all your fancy alarms I say the more visable devices the better, i know it's a pain to unlock two disc locks a chain and a ground anchor but if you were gonna nick a bike this is more offputting than a poxy alarm that no one gives a **** when it goes off

Bought a ground anchor of them, seems to be a good piece of kit.

Just ask Max how she is doing with her bolt croppers :D ;)

If you buy the whole kit of of them she is ok for discount...

how about a moat with a drawer bridge and poison spiked pungi stick's and a half starved lion combined with huge vat's of boiling oil connected to a trip wire? you would of couse have to inform your post man of these defences otherwise you could be looking at a whopping great claim against you.

I had someone from the other side of the Estate come up to me the other night while I was fiddling with Kato (the new bike). They asked if my old bike was stolen, cos about 3am that night he saw two guy wrestle Rottie Roadking into (you've guessed it) "a white van". He said he "thought it was a bit suspicious" (!!!!!!!!) but didn't do anything...

Anyway, the point is, all the locks in the world won't work to stop the Pro-Scum whipping your iron unless it's connected to something.. The locks I had on were obviously useless, as are any locks when the Scum use wheel-skates.

So now I Yale-cable the frame up to an iron post as well as the ABU Granit through the wheels. Thinking of rigging a radio alarm (like a remote doorbell alarm) on the gate to the little compound as well. As I'm the only one who uses that area it'll wake me up if they come a-creeping around again.

Them almax chains are spose to be the bollox, if ya go on Visordown forum (sorry pat) thwere a lot of discussion and advice about em, apparentley they can not even be cut with the croppers the fire brigade use. if you order an almax chain and say you part of visordown they'll give ya some cash off.

Shaun the white van lark, we caught a bunch of scrotes off loading a new bike nr our gaff a little while back, they nicked van from druid st and they live jamaica rd area, filth took the van away and got the bike back, i know white vans are common but you never know.
Local lads too.

Cheers, mate, the guy looked for the number plate (he did think of that, dozy so-n-so) but didn't keep it. Shame really, cos even if the van was stolen, they could at least nail them for the bike theft if they connected the van to it. Will let the Polis know on the offchance.
