****! what a bummer! Can you see anything at all?
I hope it's repairable, it's amazing what surgery can do nowadays!
I must admit I'm blind as a bat without my glasses, but I have normal vision with them. I could possibly cope with losing a limb, but the loss of sight or breaking my back would really screw me up!
I hope your problems are only temporary Mate!

Was it through masturbating too much and if so if i close one eye will it still do the same thing? :D
I have Keretaconus, which is a funny not ha ha eye condition, it must have weakened the eye and i just work up Tuesday morning and it looked like someone had stuck a blob of Vaseline in my eye, no warning or anything just went pop.

now thats probably a better reason, but the inside of my hands hadn't gone hairy so I thought I had plenty of goes left.

Hi Borg,
I know for a fact that Keretaconus is treatable - my ex had it in both eyes to varying degrees.
About nine years ago (December 1994) she had a corneal graft on McIndoe Ward at the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead* (Mr Shiraz M. Daya's clinic) on the NHS. The graft was done on one day (24 stitches to sew the graft on) and she was sent home the next. OK, you have to keep going back to East Grinstead for check-ups every six months or so, but it did the trick. Things may have even improved since then!
*which is where I first bumped into Mrs R - she was working as Sister on the ward that same night (little did either of us know that we'd meet up again five or six years later *twighlight zone theme do-do-doing in the background*
yes KC is treatable sometimes, and I had been offered a graft on my right eye in Febuary, I turned it down because I felt I hadn't tried other methods of sight corection(1) and a graft was the last thing on the list.
The left eye has gone pop at the back of the lens, the last of the 5 layers and fluid has soaked the lens, thats the white fuzzy bit in the photo.
I have to go back and see the specallist again next Thursday and start an assesment to see if it's capable of taking a graft. Tiome will tell as with all these things. One step at a time now and I hope its a walk to a graft. If not and it has to be removed anyone know where you can get chrome eyeballs from ?
