Where bouts are you bunbag?
Not exactly something you could stick in the post, lol
unfortunately even thought I love rats and used to breed them my daughter became very allergic to them, asthma and everything, so will have to say no
but to everyone else
rats are wonderful pets, they don't bite or run away and are very friendly and intelligent, best to have two though so they don't get lonely, they prefer tall cages as they are climbers like chipmunks, and they needs lots of stimulation. DON'T give em sawdust though, straw is better (sawdust gets on their lungs).

you know something doro, that is a cracking point.
when my rats died most of the time it seemed they were very chesty/breathing and that could be y. we did put sawdust in the bottom.
I put it down to, 1 time having a fish tank thus not letting the smell out, prob that didnt help too.
Cheers doro. we will be getting some more rats and i will use the tip about straw.

we have a few rats at the mo, lovely inteligent things, nicer than a lot of people... we end up using kitchen roll for bedding and flooring sometimes even the 'dust extracted' hay isnt good for them, hay is better than straw though as straw can be very sharp and can damage thier eyes.
were are these rats anyway, proberbly no-where near us i figure.
