View Full Version : I`ll get shot for this! How do I bleed the clutch on a Vauxhall frontera?

Have you tryed looking for the "bleed ing nipple" (that sounds painfull)
dont know, whats the answer? :D

why would u want to bleed the clutch?????whats up with it? :confused:

Cant get it in gear anymore! Its been getting tougher t get it in gear for a few days then I actually had a look under the bonnet and there it was! An empty clutch fluid resovoir! Filledit up but to no effect! must need bleedin but I aint a clue where t look!

afaik - the clutch is on the left side of the engine - its basically a front wheel drive car with an output for the rear drive..so clutch slave will be on the top of the casing. but i might well be talkign bollox.
edit - yes i am - its an inline engine isnt it... so its a crawl under the car job then.

undo the slave cylinder bleed nipple.
push the clutch actuating plunger/arm all the way in. which pushes the slave piston all the way in.

tighten the bleed nipple and release. the rod will return and draw fluid from the master cylinder .
fronteras are a bastard for this prob
