Why not? I was planning to do that very thing on Wednesday, got to go to the hospital, the car's died so I have to go on the trike - there's nowhere else to park within (my) walking distance!

parking in nottingham,24hours for a motorcycle is only £1.20 dry safe under cctv cam,in council owned car parks, thats fletcher gate, trinity square & broadmarsh, bikes dont need a ticket to get in,theres a lane for m/c,but a trike would need to que with the cars take a ticket & then argue the case for price,at the customer service office,at broadmarsh that would be me,think youre chances are good ;) dont leave em on the streets, nowt worse than findin bits missin when ya get back,or youre bike missing. In oldn days horse thiefs would be hung, they should do the same with bike thiefs  still keeps me in a job

Think I'll move to Nottingham. Here in Cambridge the local authority have declared Motorbikes 'dangerous', so they do nothing to help. No secure parking anywhere, no bike areas in car parks, etc. They do provide a few (and I mean a FEW) on street parking bays for bikes, but they're all tucked away on back streets where, presumably, the sight of bikes will not offend! Several years ago MAG organised a demo outside the council offices to show how quickly and easily a bike could be nicked by shoving it into the back of a transit. Although invites went to councillors, police, etc nobody bothered to turn up!!!!
