he's all fired up about a job he is going for & won't take advice-even though the last job HE went for was in 1982

He was nearly made to swallow the application form last night.

but he still wants my advice (then, usually, like a bloke-goes completely the other way with a disclaimer like "oh I met this tramp outside sainsburys & he told me yadi yadi and how becasue of this he went on to be a millionaire, then lost all his millions in a crap game" etc) :p
