Can't really remember first 33rpm record, I think it may actually been one of those K-Tel jobbies Pick of the Pops (the "NOW that's what" series of it's day.)
I remember a girl on the cover with long blond hair and a very 70's knitted miniskirt... probably a gran by now, makes yer think. I'll check tomorrow cos I think it's still in my Dad's collection, we haven't had a good clear out for years... ..

But distinctly remember first 45 was In The Summertime by Mungo Jerry

My first was given to me by my sister, it was Lovin Spoonfull. Cant remember the name but im thinking it was a greatest hits because it had all of the great ones on it.

I quickly proceeded into Heavy metal with the kiss generation and made sure my Mom bought me a "Disco SUCKS" Tshirt but never forgot there was other great music out there like folk and blues.
