Right, missus is out walking the dog, see's 4 blokes off load a bike sharpish into abandoned garage, phones me.
I look out over landing watching, they pull out of garages park the van cos she took the number and they walk off.
I go down in case they start on her and clocks that the van has 2 different plates on it so we call the filth.
Anyway, filth turn up and deal with the situation, they hang about cos they gonn atow the van anyway and we look to see if we can see the bike in garage but cant get in.
Anyway walking back up to house and who comes round corner in car? yep numpty thieves. i shouts to the filth they give chase but at end of road the filth go ron way, but soon turn round.
They dont get em.
Anyway they know who they were, they described em b4 we could say anything.
Last bit. got call today, mon about 7 to say they got the bike and reunited with owner and have took van away to be fingerprinted. KTM owner from Chelsea, so if any1 knows him tell him we want a drink, lol.
So not a bad ending i spose, lol

dont expect a prossecution. i found my mates nicked bike in the yard of a convicted bike thief on bail for bike theft, plod came nicked him, his dabs all over bike, false plate fitted. scumbag admits using and keeping it but says he bought it down the pub, no licence, no insurance, etc, plod call my mate a couple of months later saying cps refused to procede due to lack of evidence!
lancs constabulary, gotta love em eh!
i have a t-shirt with the slogan:

Better than the police round here, a mate saw 3 well known kids riding on the field behind his house on a classic Ducatti. He phones the police and gives the description and the reg number. Police refused to come out unless he had proof that they bike was nicked. Guess what, later in the day the bike was found burnt out, and it had been stolen from a garage down the road.
ahh the problem there robin was they wernt ligatamate drivers/riders with all the legal documents doing ever so slightly over the speed limit now if that was the case the whole bl***dy police force would have been out lol
***well done the guys for catching the thieving swines***

had mine nicked a couple off years ago. never got over it. i still look for it now, with good reason. its still being used in my area. ive only seen it a few times. but my mates have seen it and chased it and lost it. the got stoped in the area by to coppers. as i ran over to drop him in it, he shot off. i told coppers. they told me to report it at local nick. this was 3 weeks after it was nicked. it still had same plate on. people know who he is, but they dont wana say incase he turns up on their door step. sometimes silence speaks volumes.

I hate people like that.... strength is in numbers, and where's the support when you need it? Wish I could help. You don't live near the Skipton area of North Yorks do you?
