Have a look at the F2 site. They have road legal quads and buggies for sale, and would probably know the rules.

does it have a reg number? or V5
i guess any vehicle which is registered and has valid tax,mot and insurance
and also has all the relevant lighting,mirrors etc would be legal.
i am basing this on the fact that when i registered my trike this is what i needed and it is likely to apply to all modes of transport whether trikes,bikes,kitcars etc...
