back from the bulldog
went on the wednesday (marshalling the disabled area)
it hammered it down on the wednesday night and all day thursday, turning it into a bog,
decided to sit in one place (i say decided when i really mean that my wheelchair was sinking fast and i had no choice..thank god for poncho's is all i can say)
anyway things started clearing up late on thurs and friday was pretty glorious (only a few showers but the humidity soon dried things up)
saturday was glorious and the mud had dried up enough to get round the stalls and marque's etc...

the trouble is that the HA also use it as their 'Guest' dept so if they say we have to put someone in there then we have no choice,
but next year it is going to be a very strict 1 disabled 2 carer basis,(as some people did really take the piss by halving one disabled person with a load of abs with them
and one wheelchair toilet was bad, i would say at the very least 2 are required.(but on the plus side they toilets were cleaned'emptied pretty regular)
the other problem we have is that if people turn up with a valid blue badge, then we cannot turn them away (even though a lot of them could walk better than most able bodied people, you know the sort'carry a stick but dont actually use it').
but next year we are going to see if we can reserve the top end for wheelchair users only (especially if its wet).

Bulldog was a good one I thought,. One of the problems with the camping was you couldnt really get in the guest campsite on thursday without dropping your bike due to the mud so a lot of people went for the easier option ie by the hard standing.
Still even with the rain, the bloody wasps etc thought it was excellent the bands where great ,Breed 77 were excellent and I was well suprised by the Alarm they still can play.

Totally supperb event, I'm looking forward to the next one. I was a little disapointed with the toilets (not urinals) the main block of them did not seem overly maintained.... mental note, take bog roll to the next one :)

Had a superb time tho, and thanks for the pics!
