for the past 30(!!!) odd years I've never had a problem with Friday 13th or any other suerstitions (cos they mean nothing to me)

but yesterday

3 accidents on the M3 within hours of each other
accident in home town
daughter in hospital with a peptic ulcer (she's only 19 FFS)
my daughter's friend who took her to the hospital got arrested (he was on the run apparently, and a copper at the hosp recognised him) she got left with his car keys but can't drive so the car had to be left in the car park and probably clamped
a couple we're close to split up

sheesh.....

not too bad for me though cos it was last day at work for two weeks yippee

Anyroad, Friday 13th was one of the best days I've had at the paper since I've been there, it went off to press well early and I had nowt much to do that afternoon as there was no work in... nicely winding down to a week off!
