View Full Version : How much to trike a bike?

I have a rather tidy Kwack GT750, it's my 'spare bike' and the missus wants me to sell it. The trouble is, I'm not sure I want to. I understand that it's hardly used, it gets dragged out the garage when the main bike is off the road. I keep it taxed and M.O.T'ed (which it always passes with flying colours).
The problem is, I want at least £750 for it, and I don't think people want to pay that for it.
SO, rather than sell it for less than I want, I am thinking of using it as a donor for a trike. I would have to pay a man to do it, at least the engineering and fabricating bits.
If I do trike it, I'd be happy with a short wheelbase bike trike style, but would like a bench type seat at the back for either my two kids or the missus and two kids.
What I don't want is one of them bolt things that make the bike look like a bike with two wheels strapped on.

So, what would sort of money would I be looking at for a basic but not bodgy looking setup?.
