Ace Cafe London to Brighton run on Sunday? I may have to borrow my friend Tim's crotch rocket to go on as my new starter motor hasn't arrived yet, how embarrasing :o The one at the back wobbling around at 5mph will be me, no laughing at the back please :)

What are you doin' in Horsham then? Call into the Malt Shovel while you're there, most of LXIX tend to hang out there on a weekend!

I've got stuff to do Sunday morning, but hoping to get down to Brighton in the afternoon.
Look out for me Wing & sidecar...you never know, we might bump into each other. :)

Hmmm ... Mrs R on a GoldWing...
:D
Scary thought, though she's already done that one - at the Pissed Indian last year :D One brave soul we know let her take his goldwing for a blatt. I did see a rather large grin appear on her face at the time!

All downhill from now on. She'll be secretly saving for one. You'll come home one night and think someone has abandoned a load of Christmas lights on your driveway and it'll be her new GoldWing. Bet she's an undercover WingNut already... :D

That's a case of 'be afraid... be very afraid!!!!!!'
Though such concerns won't be necessary as the starter motor has arrived! : pheeeeeeeeeeeew:
I've just fitted it and it works lovely!
I've explained to her that her bike can be whatever she wants it to be - reminding her that underneath that tired, worn out looking bright red exterior is a black custom beastie waiting to get out - after all it is the same frame as used on the Z750LTD etc. With a fully reconditioned engine (new camchain, tensioner, blade - as well as pistons, rings etc. still within standard tolerences).
I think (despite previous posts to the contrary) custom biking wins again!!

Thought we'd get to the Ace early and get breakfast, hahahahaha, no way! There were 7000 people there most of them trying to get coffee and breakfast. It was feckin' unbelievable.
Still we got there ok and half way back and managed some good posing before the inevitable happened. The ride out to Brighton was fab, so many bikes and half of London turned up to wave, throw tomatoes etc etc. Only saw two mods though - they looked a bit worried!
AA man turned up and says, "Hi Lou, how's the cats, son ok, still got that troublesome sexual problem", I sez, "yeah I'm still married thanks" :D
Must be on first name terms with all AA men in the country by now. It's the alternator, which is probably the only thing on the fecker we haven't changed yet. Still no worries they are not too expensive and we managed a good part of the ride.
Mitch taught me all about gnomes today (ohms apparently) he said there are too many gnomes which confused me no end!, I said I don't want to know unless they are shiny. He taught me about where the alternator goes also - behind the shiny thing! It's great this biking lark - innit :)
So you didn't actually get to Brighton, Lou?

So you didn't actually get to Brighton, Lou?
Nah, poor lass... though it's not sooooooo bad as we can get to Brighton anytime (being 15 miles away and all), but it would have been nice today, especially as we got up at HALF PAST FIVE THIS MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got as far as the M4 coming back out! (arsebiscuits and words to that effect!) At least mine got home ok this time - made the whole journey without too much hassle (apart from Camchain which I'm booking in tomorrow)- even though I was finishing off my re-wire of the lighting loom at 6.30 this morning, just so we could get to the Ace. (personally, I think that was what Lou was mostly interested in :D that and the posing...! oh yeah, something about some run out of London as well... yep, that too!). John Parnell was there - which we're glad to see, though didn't get chance to natter with him - though he's only down't road as well!
This fun and frolics gave me a chance to be a rebel for the day... Got about five miles from home and I thought feck it! Lid's coming off! So I stopped the bike and took the damn thing off and rode home (made my head stop throbbing - crap lid!!). The looks I got were fantastic. Folk didn't know what to make of me!!!! Even this bloke on a trike looked confused as to why I wasn't wearing a lid on a bike
Not so bad after all!
