just a quick note of warning that they are using 'specs' cameras on the M6 roadworks 40 mph limit whilst the roadworks are in place, so anyon coming from the north to do the bulldog .beware you are going to have to stick to the limit

forgive me if this has been brought up before but have the courts decided yet whether or not the M6 toll road is a goverment owned and maintained highway or as originally implied a private road (on account that you have to pay to use it and it is maintained and owned by a private company).
if the latter is the case then the police have no right to issue fines for speeding or any other motoring offence committed purely on that stretch of road.
The drunks and non insured,taxed etc etc would still be liable because they would have had to use other public roads to gain access to the toll road.

i believe that it is a public road therefore speed restrictions can be applied an enforced.
although personally i dont think that it is policed much yet...(NOTE..i could be wrong though)

thers plenty of unmarked cars on the toll road so take it easy
