I've just posted this up on EBAY - all bids via Ebay please.

£50 quid starting bid with no reserve

Yamaha XS650 Engine, bought for a project that went nowhere and now just taking up space. It was imported from the US with 13K miles on the clock (no proof of this).

It is in good condition, but needs cleaning. Missing the oil feed pipe from the crank to the head.

I stripped the top end, found nothing wrong and reassemble it, so it has a new head gasket. The remaining gaskets from full set included in the price - got to be worth 20 quid on their own.

Obviously I can't post this so buyer must collect.

I would be interested but for some reason I can't register on Ebay. I have tried 6 times in the last two years and have yet to receive a confirmation email!

I've had a few offers who want to bypass ebay, but once the ebay ball is rolling it's hard to stop it - and doesn't look good on my feed back. So I'm not going to take it off. Do you know anyone who could bid for you?

By the way I got someone pretending to be a Fench dealer, offering to pay by 'certified cashiers cheque'. This is a classic con-trick, so anyone else selling on this forum beware!!!

I just noticed that the junk mail was a reply to the same ad I put up on Bikersweb - not 100Biker.

Sorry to cast aspersions on your good name, but it's best to be warned about these things.
