..done this before but it was yonk's ago. before mrs k and myself had a car we carried everything on the back of the bike which for ten years was me guzzi california. our most spectacular result was carrying our old pooch from brum to poole, we were going to yvonnes folks house and we had rocky between us wrapped in her donkey jacket ( yvonnes, not the dogs) the old mutt loved every minute of the trip and became quite a little celeb! also carried a carp in a bucket (obviously) when he developed whitespot, a 4' wide roll of green mineral felt comes to mind oh, and the looks we got from the shoppers at savacentre when we bungied a vax vacuum cleaner to the back of the bike was something to behold! i just wish i had the nerve now that i had then. oh well that's 'growing up' for you i suppose :)

A single door wardrobe on the back of an XS250 Custom ... ;)

Pushbikes? Pah! I carried a bloke AND his pushbike down from the local biker pub to Newmarket years ago (about eight miles) and I was vey good - I kept it below 120mph. :D He still talks about it now and it must've been fifteen years ago.

Beer? Kent Custom Bike Show in 1990, I had a fully-faired TZR250. Four cases on the tank (could barely see where I was going), three between me and pillion, and then he had one under each arm so that's ... 'ang on ... nine cases. Bike was flat on its suspension stops and we got a round of applause as we rode away from the beer tent! :D

When i was first married, I came across a feral kitten that had attacked the landlord's (of the pub I was drinking in) Alsatian. I tucked her into my flying jacket and rode the bike across South London to bring her home. She had so many mites in her ears, she was stone deaf and never learnt to meow. She used to squeak like a rusty gate and would claw everyone who came near her, except for me.

These days, the maddest thing I carry on my bike is the wife. Years ago I managed to bungy a small fridge on the back of my GP100 and successfully transport it to my friends house a couple of miles across town. Probably ranks as one of the scariest rides I have ever had.

On a CG125 - a sack of coal, with the pillion sat on the bag. Apparently it wasn't very comfy.

On a GS550:

1. A bag of compost, two garden chairs and 2 big plant pots
2. 2 deckchairs, 2 folding stools, 2 tents, 3 sleeping bags, 1 pillow, 3 air beds, 2 panniers full of beer, a bag wiv some clothes in and a cast iron barbeque (Farmyard Party 1998 :D ). It had a very light front end on that ride, for some strange reason.

Smurf carried a fridge on his GT750 (Kwak)

but the best I ever saw was when 2 mates in Warrington moved house, and transported the sofa balanced across the back of a 250 superdream and a GT550. Fortunately, it was less than a mile, and the plod didn't see them.
